We are delighted that Aileen Evans, our Group Chief Executive, has been voted one of the top 50 Power Players in housing in the country for the fifth time in six years. Aileen, who recently celebrated 20 years with Grand Union, was ranked 38 in 24housing’s Top 50 Power Players.
This is Aileen’s second honour in the past year; in August she was elected Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).
“What a year it’s been! I’m thrilled, once again, to be considered a Power Player and to be in such esteemed company.
“Being elected as Vice President of the CIH was a huge honour and was very humbling. I would like to use the platform to highlight the brilliant support, education and advice the CIH gives housing professionals.
“These last 12 months have also been important for Grand Union, with our unification taking place back in October. Coming together as one organisation is helping us to deliver our services more efficiently and supporting our journey to be more customer-focused. We have also doubled our development programme which will mean us providing even more much-needed affordable housing.”
The list published annually in 24housing magazine, recognises the most influential people who work in housing in Britain, as voted for by their peers.
