We have received reports of fake apps being available for Universal Credit (UC). The DWP has not developed an app for UC, so any apps you find on app stores such as Google Play or Apple Store will be fakes. Please don’t download any of these apps as they put you at risk of suffering from fraud. More detailed information can be read on this website.
Communication with UC should always be via the www.gov.uk website (https://www.gov.uk/sign-in-universal-credit) or by calling them on 0800 328 5644. Beware of texts asking you to click links or reply to provide personal details, as these are likely to be scams.
