Schedule of fees

A list of the fees for market and intermediate rent and key (essential) workers

Security deposit (per tenancy): five weeks rent

This covers damages or any defaults by the tenant during the tenancy.

Unpaid rent

Interest is payable at 3% above the Bank of England base rate, from rent due date until rent paid, to pursue non-payment of rent. Please note, this will not be charged until rent is more than 14 days in arrears.

Lost key(s) or other security device(s)

Tenants are liable for the actual cost of replacing lost keys or other security devices. If locks need to be changed, then the tenant will be charged the actual cost of a locksmith, new lock and replacement keys for the tenant, landlord and any other person requiring keys. If extra costs are incurred, there will be a charge of £15.00 per hour (including VAT) for the time taken replacing lost keys/security devices.

Variation of contract (at tenant’s request)

£50.00 (including VAT) per agreement variation. This covers the cost associated with taking landlord’s instructions as well as the preparation and execution of new legal documents.

Change of sharer (at tenant’s request)

£50.00 (including VAT) per replacement tenant, or any reasonable costs incurred if higher. This covers the costs associated with the preparation and execution of new legal documents.

Early termination (at tenant’s request)

One month’s rent. This covers the landlord’s costs in the re-letting of the property.
