Windows and doors
We replace windows and doors to keep them up to modern standards and to:
- improve energy efficiency
- improve security
- meet current fire regulations.
Our windows are manufactured to the ‘Secure by Design’ standards. This is a scheme by the Police that recognises safe and secure products.
If you need new windows or doors, our contractor will then arrange a visit to carry out a survey.
You may receive:
- New windows – These are ‘A’ rated double glazed PVCu. They have with push button handles, trickle vents and child restrictors.
- New front door – This is composite and will be fitted with a multi-point locking system, door viewer and security chain. You’ll get a choice of four designs and four colours to choose from.
- New rear door – If your home has one, it will be a new white uPVC door.
- Outbuilding windows and doors – These will only be replaced if existing ones are in poor condition.
Our contractor will contact you to arrange a convenient start date. This is usually three weeks ahead of the start of the works. You’ll also get more information on what to expect during the works.
Access to all rooms of your home will be needed for the work. Please make sure the areas that will be worked on are clear of any personal items.
It can take two working days for the work to be completed to a house and one working day for a flat or bungalow.
Remember…
Your new doors and windows will be much more efficient. It’s really important you properly ventilate your home to make sure you don’t get condensation forming. You can find out more about this, including using trickle vents on your windows here.
