Getting Into Work
Are you currently unemployed and looking to get back into work? At Grand Union, we have a specialist Community Development, Employability and Skills Project Officer who is here to help our tenants get into work.
What we can do to help:
CV: We will help you rewrite your CV to make sure you and your skills stand out!
Interviews: If you’re nervous about an interview, we will help you with some fantastic techniques and have a mock interview, to make sure you’re prepared for the real thing.
Employability Skills: Along with good technical understanding and subject knowledge for the job you’re applying for, employers will want a set of skills from an employee.
- These skills are what they believe will equip the employee to carry out their role to the best of their ability.
- Employability depends on SKA (Skills, Knowledge, Attitude)
- We will help enhance these, to give you the best chance of success during your interview.
The STAR interview technique is a method for answering interview questions.
Behavioural interview questions are questions about how you have behaved in the past. They are about how you have handled certain work situations. Since past performance can be a good indicator for the future, interviewers may ask these questions to see you have the skills and experiences required for the job.
