Our Property Compliance Trainee, Emily Jones has been shortlisted for a Rising Star award at the ASCP Safety & Compliance Awards, which recognises the achievements of inspirational individuals and organisations working within social housing and facilities management sectors.
The Rising Star award recognises newcomers and junior team members who are making a difference in their organisation, bringing improvements for residents or working towards positive change in the industry.
Emily started at Grand Union as a Compliance apprentice and after completing her apprenticeship was quickly offered a role as a Property Compliance Trainee. In her short time at Grand Union Emily has already come up with new ideas to make a real difference to our customer experience and improve some of our compliance processes.
Emily was put forward for the award by her manager, Jonathan Cowell, who said:
“Since joining our Apprenticeship Scheme, Emily has impressed us all with her willingness to learn, her diligence and her work ethic. I was delighted she was able to join my team after completing her apprenticeship.”
Aileen Evans, Group Chief Executive said:
“Emily is a wonderful role model for young women, not just for Grand Union, where she is already recognised as a valuable colleague, but for women across the social housing arena.”
