Important: Once we get notification to set up or change a Direct Debit it can take up to six weeks to implement. Therefore you must ensure that you make payments in the interim to avoid getting into rent arrears.
Grand Union Housing Group collects rent from most tenants over a 48 week period every year and the Direct Debit is currently set based on four weeks every month (making 48 rent weeks for the year).
When your rent changes we we will notify you of any changes to the amount to be collected and amend it. The first Direct Debit of each rent year is taken on the 15th of April to allow the correct notification period in line with the Direct Debit guarantee.
